Pushing forward
Pushing forward
"This place looks like some kind of abandoned place, but why is there someone guarding it?" Hans leaned against the car window, his eyes fixed on the warehouse door. He had counted four guards, all wearing casual clothes, but exuding a dangerous aura, especially the bulges around their waists, which were obviously hiding weapons.
"No one would guard a pile of scrap metal." Lynn answered in a low voice. He carefully observed the guards' movements with a telescope and noticed that they did not seem to have a fixed patrol pattern, but were a bit loose. This looseness was not due to laziness, but more like absolute confidence in the environment.
"Do you think the Holy Blood Alliance would hide their 'holy objects' in a place like this?" Hans chewed his gum, his tone a little skeptical, "To be honest, I think it's more like a drug trading point."
"Maybe, maybe not." Lynn put down the telescope, reached for the pistol at his side, and skillfully checked the magazine, "But anyway, we have to go in and take a look."
"You mean 'we'?" Hans raised his eyebrows, "Come on, Lynn, you know what I mean - I don't mind running errands, but I don't want to get shot in this damn place."
Lynn glanced at him sideways, his eyes as cold as ice, "Don't talk nonsense. Move."
Hans muttered a few words, but still grabbed his weapon from the seat and followed Lynn out of the car. The two moved carefully along a narrow path outside the warehouse, trying to drown out the sound of their footsteps in the wind and the industrial noise in the distance. They went around the side of the warehouse, where there was a window with a slight crack, and they could vaguely see the lights flashing inside.
Lin En took out a slender camera and poked it into the window. The screen immediately showed the scene inside the warehouse. In the picture, several men were discussing something around a shabby table with boxes of goods on the table. But from the angle of the camera, it was impossible to see the specific contents of the box.
"They don't look like the Holy Blood Alliance." Hans whispered, staring at the men on the screen, "They are dressed too casually, and they don't have the kind of... sense of ceremony of the Holy Blood Alliance."
"Indeed, they don't look like them." Lin En's tone was cautious, "But these goods may be our breakthrough."
Just as he was about to observe further, he suddenly heard the sound of a car engine in the distance. The two held their breath at the same time and turned their heads quietly. A few seconds later, a black SUV drove into the door of the warehouse, and several people got out of the car quickly.
Lin En's eyes instantly became sharp. The new group of people were completely different from the group in the warehouse. They wore uniform black tactical uniforms, held rifles in their hands, and moved quickly and alertly. These people were not ordinary gangsters, but trained professional killers.
"This is interesting." Hans said softly, staring at the newcomers without blinking.
The newcomers went straight into the warehouse, and after a moment, Lin En saw through the camera that the two sides were confronting each other. The people in the warehouse were obviously very wary of these strangers who suddenly broke in, but they did not open fire immediately, but tried to negotiate. However, the new black-clad men did not say any extra nonsense, they directly took out their weapons and pointed their guns at each other.
"This doesn't look like a deal." Hans whispered, "They are here to rob things."
"Shut up." Lin En shouted sharply, his attention was all focused on the screen.
Just as Lin En was observing carefully, the atmosphere inside the warehouse suddenly tensed - the sound of gunfire broke the silent night! The black-clad man opened fire first, the bullet penetrated the air, hit the person at the table, blood gushed out, and instantly dyed the ground red.
"Damn it!" Hans cursed, "They are fighting!"
Lin En did not answer, he quickly put away the camera, and gestured to Hans to follow. The two took advantage of the chaotic gunfire and screams in the warehouse and quickly approached a side door along the wall. Lynn took out a universal lock picking tool from his waist and opened the door lock in less than ten seconds.
The moment the door was pushed open, the gunshots became clearer, and the clinking of shells falling to the ground and the shouts of people were intertwined. Lynn and Hans quietly entered the warehouse, hiding behind a pile of scrap goods, observing the situation inside.
The interior of the warehouse was in a mess. Most of the people who were originally guarding the goods had died, and only two or three people were left hiding behind the bunkers to fight back. The men in black came prepared, and they swept every corner accurately, pressing step by step.
"Who are these people? They don't look like the Holy Blood Alliance." Hans whispered, and he gently pushed away a piece of wood blocking his sight with his fingers.
"Maybe competitors." Lynn responded coldly, but his attention was not on these men in black, but on the goods on the table.
The boxes were overturned during the gunfight, and several items fell out of them - shiny metal parts and several strange stones with ancient symbols engraved on them. This is definitely not ordinary smuggled goods, but something more important.
"We have to get those things." Lynn ordered in a low voice with a cold look.
"Are you crazy?" Hans' voice was extremely low, but his tone was full of disbelief, "Didn't you see what they were holding? Those are not toys!"
"You can stay here." Lynn didn't argue with him any more, and directly pulled out his pistol and began to move quietly.
"Damn it, I hate your stubbornness!" Hans cursed, but still followed. He knew that if Lynn was allowed to take risks alone, he would definitely do more outrageous things.
Lynn's movements were agile and precise. He chose a hidden route and avoided the center of the gunfight. His goal was clear - those boxes. Although he didn't know what these things were, his intuition told him that they were closely related to the plan of the Holy Blood Alliance.
As he approached the target, Lynn suddenly heard a burst of hurried footsteps behind him. He immediately hid behind the cover, and Hans quickly approached the wall. A few seconds later, a man in black came over, with steady steps and a rifle vigilantly sweeping around.
Lynn was quick-witted and quick-handed. He waited for the man to get close, then he suddenly made a move, hitting the other person's throat accurately with a hand knife, and then dragged the man behind the cover. The man in black struggled a few times and then collapsed, and Lynn pulled out his rifle neatly.
"What a violent art." Hans sneered in a low voice, but his eyes were full of admiration.
"Shut up and don't waste time." Lynn warned him and continued to move forward.
At this time, the gunshots gradually subsided, and the situation in the warehouse began to become clear - the men in black obviously had an absolute advantage. After the last warehouse guard was killed, the men in black began to clean up the battlefield and put the goods back into the boxes.
Lynn knew that he didn't have much time. Just as the men in black approached the goods, he decisively jumped out from behind the bunker, aimed his rifle accurately at the nearest enemy, and pulled the trigger.
The gunshots exploded again! Lynn shot and killed the man in black closest to the goods, and at the same time rolled behind another bunker to avoid the firepower of others' counterattack. Hans also opened fire at this moment. Although his accuracy was not as good as Lynn's, the bullets successfully suppressed the enemy's actions.
"Hurry, go get the goods!" Lynn shouted.
"You want me to die!" Hans rushed over while complaining, and his movements were much faster than his complaints. He pounced on the box, picked up one of the boxes containing stones with all his strength, and then quickly retreated to the bunker.
"Go!" Lin En opened fire to cover while moving towards the warehouse exit.
The men in black were obviously disrupted by their surprise attack, but they quickly adjusted and the bullets chased the two like raindrops. Lin En and Hans rushed out of the warehouse at an astonishing speed, rushed back to the car, and then quickly started the engine and drove away from the scene.
"What the hell did we rob?" Hans panted in the car and raised his hand to wipe the cold sweat from his forehead.
Lin En opened a corner of the box and looked at the stones emitting strange light and the metal devices engraved with symbols inside. His eyes became more solemn.
"I don't know." He said slowly, "but they are important enough to make people kill for them."
And just then.
A young man suddenly ran past them, and the familiar tattoo pattern on his body attracted their attention!
The neon lights of the bar hurt people's eyes in the night, and the smell of alcohol and tobacco was emitted from the edge of the street. The young man followed closely by Lin En and Hans walked hurriedly, his shadow appearing and disappearing in the dim alley.
"Don't let him get away!" Hans shouted breathlessly, chasing after Lin En with a gun in his hand. He could have complained, but this time, he knew that time was too precious and there was no time for nonsense.
The young man was obviously familiar with this area. He was like a clever mouse, weaving left and right in the narrow alley, knocking over trash cans from time to time, trying to create chaos to stop the pursuers. But Lin En was obviously not someone who could be easily shaken off. His steps were swift and his breathing was even, like some kind of predator staring at its prey. The lights in the alley flickered, and he could even hear the young man's panicked breathing.
"Turn the corner! Don't let him enter the alley!" Lin En shouted, his voice low and powerful.
Hans immediately understood what Lin En meant, made a small circle, and rushed out quickly from another fork in the road, blocking the direction in which the young man tried to escape. The young man braked suddenly, almost hitting Hans, and then turned around to escape back to Lin En's direction. However, just as he turned around, a hand like an iron clamp had already grabbed his collar accurately and pulled him back.
"Okay, have you run enough?" Lin En pressed the young man against a stained wall with force, his tone as cold as a knife. The young man struggled for a while, but it was obvious that his physical strength had been overdrawn and he couldn't get rid of Lin En's control at all.
"Let me go! I don't know what you are talking about!" The young man's voice was full of fear, but also a bit stubborn.
Hans came over and wiped the sweat from his forehead breathlessly, "Oh, this is really a sports meeting. Boy, you run fast, but you still have to tell us-what's the matter with the Holy Blood Alliance tattoo on your body?"
"I don't know what you are talking about!" The young man continued to struggle, but to no avail, his back was pressed tightly by Lin En.
"Don't waste time." Lin En directly pulled open the young man's coat and tore off the worn T-shirt on his shoulders. A dazzling red pattern came into view - it was the symbol of the Holy Blood Alliance, an exquisite dagger pattern surrounded by bloody wings.
"You still don't know?" Hans reached out and poked the tattoo, deliberately using force, "This is not something that can be done by just finding a tattoo shop."
"Listen! Listen!" The young man's voice trembled, obviously very scared, "This tattoo is fake! I'm not a member of the Holy Blood Alliance! Really not!"
"Fake?" Lin En frowned, but his hand did not loosen, "Who would tattoo a Holy Blood Alliance tattoo for fun? This is not a trick of the motorcycle gang, kid."
"I'm just a delivery guy! I don't know what the Holy Blood Alliance is!" The young man was almost crying, "Someone gave me some money and asked me to tattoo this thing, saying that it was to scare the gangsters on the street. They thought I had a backer. I really don't know what these tattoos mean! I'm just an errand runner!"
Hans sneered, tilting his head to the young man, "Oh, what a great story. The question is, why should we trust you?"
"You can check my records!" The young man was so anxious that he was incoherent, "I have no criminal record, I am just an ordinary person! I haven't even touched a gun! I don't know why you were staring at me... but I It really has nothing to do with those lunatics!”
Lin En was silent for a few seconds, staring at the tattoo, her eyes as deep as an ancient well. His intuition told him that the young man in front of him seemed to be not a member of the Holy Blood Alliance. His hands were a little looser, but his tone was still cold and hard: "Who made you tattoo this tattoo?"
"I don't know his name!" the young man shook his head desperately. "It's a guy wearing a hat. He paid me a few hundred dollars to ask me to go to an underground tattoo shop. He said that as long as I exposed my tattoo, no one would be there. Dare to mess with me."
"Underground tattoo shop?" Hans frowned, "Address."
"In an old warehouse on Ninth Avenue, there was a red light hanging on the door." The young man replied quickly, "But I swear, I haven't seen him a few times, and I don't even know what his name is!"
Lynn exchanged a look with Hans, Lynn let go of the young man and pushed him aside, but his eyes were still sharp, "Listen, if you lie, we will find you soon, and then, you won't It would be so easy."
The young man nodded repeatedly, raised his hands and signaled that he would not do anything randomly, "I really didn't lie to you, God testify! I'm just an ordinary person, please don't let me get involved in such a thing!"
Lynn didn't say anything anymore, pulled his coat and turned to the exit of the alley. Hans looked at the young man, shrugged, and then quickly followed.
The two returned to the car, and Lynn sat in the driver's seat, holding the steering wheel, pondering for a moment. Hans sat in the passenger seat and whistled softly, "So, do you think what the kid said is true?"
"He doesn't seem to be lying." Lynn said coldly, "He doesn't even know who we are, let alone what the Holy Blood Alliance is. It's unlikely to pretend to be so similar."
"What should we do?" Hans took a piece of chewing gum and stuffed it into his mouth, leaning lazily against the back of the chair, "Let's go to that tattoo shop to check it out? I bet there is probably some dirty hidden in that place. Little secret. ”
Lynn nodded, but his eyes remained alert. He started the car, and the headlights tear a crack the shadow at the end of the alley, "If that place really had something to do with the Holy Blood Alliance, we might be able to find some clues."
Hans raised his eyebrows, reached out and opened the glove box in the car, and took out a spare pistol from it, "I hope there will be no more gunfight this time. I don't want the bullet to fly over my ears again. ”
Lynn ignored his complaints and the car quickly blended into the traffic flow of Manhattan at night.
Less than twenty minutes later, they arrived at the address the young man mentioned. It was a dilapidated industrial area on Ninth Avenue, and a row of low warehouses seemed particularly deserted in the dark. The only light source is a crumbling red light hanging at the door of a warehouse, emitting a dim light.
"It looks like the right place," Hans whispered, holding a gun in his hand, and glanced around with a vigilant look.
Lynn got out of the car and walked towards the warehouse lightly. He stopped at the door and knocked on the door with his hand, his voice short and powerful.
A few seconds later, a middle-aged man with a tattooed master appeared in the crack of the door, with a hint of impatientness on his face, "It's time to close the door, no appointment--"
Lynn raised his hand and lit up his ID and said coldly, "FBI, open the door."
The man's face changed immediately. He quickly opened the door, but his body blocked the door frame, trying to appear calm, "What's the problem, Mr. Agent?"
Lynn pushed him away and walked in with Hans. Inside is a dim room with tattoo designs hanging on the walls, various tattoo tools on the table, and a few cans of ink that don't look too clean.
"You stabbed a young man in the tattoo of the Holy Blood Alliance." Lynn went straight to the point, his tone cold, "Who told you to do it?"
Cold sweat appeared on the man's face immediately, and his eyes began to float around the house, "I don't know what you are talking about... This, there are many customers coming to this place every day, and I can't remember--"
"Don't talk nonsense." Hans raised his hand and pointed to his chest. "Lying will only make us even more unpolite."
The man's expression changed a few times, and finally sighed, "Okay... someone paid me to do this. He didn't tell me the name, he just said he wanted to scare people. It's just a business, I don't know the details!"
"What's that person?" Lynn pressed step by step.
"Wearing a black hat and a black coat, he is quite tall... He is very cautious and never let me look at him more."
Lynn's eyes did not relax, staring at the man, "What else did he say?"
"He said...he said it was just a warning, the real big thing hadn't begun. He also asked me to shut up, otherwise-" the man didn't continue, but his eyes had revealed everything.
"He is from the Holy Blood Alliance, right?" Lin En asked in a low voice, a hint of danger in his tone.
