Chapter 158 Long time no see

Snape had actually received the news a long time ago that Lily would not come to participate in this competition because she had exams recently and had no time to concentrate on learning how to ride a Pegasus. However, he still came for two reasons. First, he knew that the Death Eaters were behind this competition and he wanted to get an introduction.

Snape wanted to gain power and needed a platform to demonstrate his abilities. Some of Riddle's views were in line with his ideas. He also wanted to be someone looked up to by others. If he could get a place in this competition, he would naturally show up in front of Riddle.

Furthermore, he figured out that Riddle might bring Peter with him. Ever since Riddle had provided Peter with a letter of recommendation to become an exchange student, Snape was very clear that he must have had some kind of deal with Riddle. He wanted to find out everything. If even someone like Peter could do it, then so could he.

At the same time, as Peter is still a friend, he really wants to remind him that it is better to stay away from the Dark Lord. He is not strong enough to fight against the Dark Lord and he will most likely die without a complete body.

So even though Snape hated flying, he still tried to muster up the courage to come. In fact, what Snape hated about flying was riding on a Quidditch broom, because it was difficult for him to control it as neatly as Lily. This was related to talent, but it was not necessary to control a beast.

Therefore, Snape overcame his fear of flying and, with his scheming, easily stood out among the candidates and began to look for Peter as soon as he arrived. He had too many things to tell him, and of course, about Lily and James.

Snape could only clench his fist and pound the tent beside him, "Damn it..." But seeing Peter so active and energetic, he seemed to feel a lot more at ease.

Finally, after much deliberation, Snape returned to the tent and wrote a letter to Newt to report his safety.

But what he didn't expect was that Newt was also on his way here, so James and the others still hadn't received the news.
