Chapter 333 Happiness

Chapter 333 Happiness

"Xia, I'm here today to check on the training results. How are your preparations going?" I asked.

She nodded, nervously twisting her fingers: "Yes, the new anchors have been training for a month, and today is their first official live broadcast."

I patted her on the shoulder: "Don't be nervous, I believe in your abilities."

I turned on my computer and clicked on the newcomer's live stream page.

The three new trainees Lin Xiaoxia was training were live-streaming, and I was carefully observing every detail. The picture quality was good, but the background setup was a bit monotonous;

The host's explanation was very professional, but the interactivity was insufficient; the product presentation angle also needs improvement.

I wrote down all the suggestions and was about to discuss them with Lin Xiaxia when I suddenly noticed the number of viewers in the live stream was rapidly increasing. It turned out that a host had accidentally spilled water on himself while demonstrating a product, and this accident actually livened up the atmosphere in the live stream.

"This unexpected incident was handled well," I said to Lin Xiaoxia, who had just walked over. "The anchor reacted quickly and used humor to defuse the awkward situation."

Lin Xiaxia breathed a sigh of relief: "Yes, that's one of the key points of our training. But the interaction just now was indeed insufficient. I'll go remind them now."

I stopped her: "Wait, I think we can do it like this..." We discussed it for a while and decided to have the live streamers add some lucky draw segments, while also adjusting the order of the product displays, putting the most attractive ones first.

The changes had an immediate effect; the number of viewers in the live stream continued to climb, and the chat became much more active. Looking at the data backend, I nodded in satisfaction: "Xia, you did a great job."

She smiled shyly, "I learned it all from you. By the way, we haven't eaten the cake yet; everyone's waiting for you to cut the first slice."

Then I remembered the cake on the table and quickly went over. Surrounded by them, I cut the first piece. The sweet cream melted in my mouth, and I suddenly thought of Xiao Huai at home.

In that moment, I felt an unprecedented sense of fulfillment—I was working hard to manage both my career and my family.

I wearily pushed open the door to my home; it was already past ten o'clock at night. Only a warm yellow floor lamp was on in the living room, and Jiang Yichen was sitting on the sofa reading documents.

Hearing the door open, he looked up, a sly glint in his eyes.

"You're back?" He closed the file, stood up, and said, "Go change your clothes first, then I'll take you somewhere."

I was taken aback for a moment: "Where are you going so late? Where's Xiao Huai?"

“Grandma is taking care of me to sleep,” he said, pushing me toward the bedroom. “Don’t worry, I’ve arranged everything.”

As I entered the bedroom, I found a brand-new dress on the bed, my favorite champagne color. Jiang Yichen wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder: "You've been working so hard lately, relax tonight."

I turned around, looked into his gentle eyes, and suddenly felt a lump in my throat.

I've been really busy lately, dealing with the livestreamer issue at the company.

"What's wrong?" Jiang Yichen noticed my change in mood and hugged me.

I shook my head and buried my face in his chest: "I just feel... a little tired."

He patted my hair: "Then you should definitely go out and relax. Go change your clothes, I'll wait for you downstairs."

When I changed and came downstairs, Jiang Yichen was already waiting in the entryway. He was wearing a dark blue shirt today, which was a birthday gift I gave him last year. When he saw me come down, his eyes lit up: "You look great."

I smiled and took his arm: "You too."

Before leaving, I tiptoed into the children's room. Xiao Huai was fast asleep, his little face rosy, his long eyelashes casting shadows on his face. In just a few days, he seemed to have grown a bit more.

Jiang Yichen stood behind me and said softly, "He's been wanting to talk a lot lately. I bet he'll be calling me 'Dad' soon."

I turned around and glared at him: "You'll definitely call for Mom first."

He laughed and pulled me out the door: "That's not necessarily true."

As the car drove towards the outskirts of the city, I gradually recognized the road in the darkness. This was the place we came to for our first date, the observation deck on the mountaintop. Back then, we were young people just starting out, and we often came here in the middle of the night to look at the stars and dream about the future.

Sure enough, Jiang Yichen parked the car at the observation deck. He magically produced a picnic basket from the trunk, filled with red wine and snacks. We sat down under the stars, a gentle night breeze blowing, the city lights in the distance twinkling like stars.

“This is a nice place I found on purpose.” Jiang Yichen poured me a glass of red wine. “I remember when you were just a streamer, and how you grew step by step, Momo.”

I took a sip of my drink and laughed, "Yeah, I was so naive back then. Now I know that starting a business is not that easy."

“But you did it,” he said, shaking my hand. “Now the studio is doing so well that it’s even starting to train new talent.”

I looked at him in surprise: "How did you know?"

He blinked. "How could I not know?"

My heart warmed, and I leaned on his shoulder: "It's nothing really, I just feel... a little tired."

“That’s what growing up is all about,” Jiang Yichen said softly. “But, wife, your problems are my problems. If anything happens, your husband will take care of it for you right away.”

We nestled together, gazing at the starry sky. The night breeze carried the faint scent of distant flowers, and Jiang Yichen's fingers gently caressed my palm. In that moment, all weariness and worries vanished.

"Oh, right," he suddenly remembered something, "Xiao Huai's birthday is coming up soon, how about we throw him a party?"

I sat up straight: "Great! We can invite Xu Sisi and the others over."

Jiang Yichen interrupted me with a smile: "See, you get all excited when you talk about Xiao Huai."

I smiled sheepishly: "Of course, he's my little princess."

“She’s my daughter too,” he whispered in my ear, “but tonight, you’re mine alone.”

My face flushed, and before I could say anything, his kiss landed on my lips. It was a tender, lingering kiss, carrying the aroma of red wine and the coolness of the night breeze. I closed my eyes, feeling his breath, as if I had returned to that summer when we first met.

I don't know how much time passed before we reluctantly parted ways. Jiang Yichen draped his coat over my shoulders: "Go back, you have to go to work tomorrow."

On the way home, I leaned against the car window, watching the night scenery rushing past. Jiang Yichen held the steering wheel with one hand and gently held my hand with the other. At that moment, I suddenly felt incredibly happy.

It was almost midnight when we got home. We tiptoed upstairs, and as we passed the children's room, I couldn't help but glance at sleeping Xiao Huai one last time.

Moonlight streamed through the curtains onto his little bed. His grandmother had already lulled him to sleep in the nursery, and he was muttering something, which was hard to understand.
