Chen Feng took out his phone and took photos as evidence. He would show them to people to prove the woman's kindness, and he believed they would treat her leniently. Chen Feng brought the photos back to the college, to the dean's office.

Chen Feng knocked on the door, and the dean said, "Come in."

Chen Feng entered and handed his phone to the dean. The dean asked, "What's this?"

Chen Feng pulled up a photo on his phone. "Dean, take a look at this."

The hospital director looked at the photos on his phone, which were mostly pictures of poor people eating, taking medicine, and seeing doctors. "What's wrong with this?" the director asked.

Chen Feng said, "I went outside and looked at those poor people. They used to struggle to get three meals a day and had no money to see a doctor or take medicine. But last night, a female knight gave them some silver, so they were able to have food to eat and money to see a doctor and take medicine today."

The dean thought for a moment, "So, she did it yesterday."

Chen Feng nodded. "That should be the case. Last night, besides her, there shouldn't be anyone else involved."

The dean handed the phone back to Chen Feng. "What do you mean?"

Chen Feng nodded, looking at the photos on his phone. "She did make a mistake, but she is kind-hearted. She stole to help the poor. Of course, stealing is wrong, but it's somewhat understandable. I advised her not to steal again, and she said she would consider it. Perhaps this time, she could be given a lighter sentence and a chance, considering that she is still kind."

The dean looked at Chen Feng, "She threw lime in your eyes, don't you hate her? Don't you want revenge?"

Chen Feng smiled wryly and said, "I did find it strange when my eyes hurt before, but now, forget it, it's all in the past."

The dean nodded. "Alright, you're the one who arrested them, and you're the one who released them. I really don't understand you. I have no objection to releasing them, but I need to discuss it with the other mentors."

Chen Feng nodded, "Okay, you should discuss it with them properly and try to get it approved unanimously."

The dean nodded and, taking advantage of the break between classes, called over a few instructors. "Boss, is something the matter?"

The dean said, "You know about the female thief who stole things yesterday, right?"

One of the mentors nodded. "I know, wasn't he already caught by the new teacher, Chen Feng?"

The dean nodded. "Yes, now Teacher Chen Feng is going to let her go..."

"What?" One of the instructors thought he had misheard. "Let her go? Why? To steal her and then follow the trail?"

The dean shook his head. "It's not about following the clues; it's simply about letting them go and not holding a grudge about what happened yesterday."

One tutor asked, "Why? What's the reason?"

The dean said, "The reason is that the woman has already pawned all the stolen goods for silver and donated them to the poor people around her. Teacher Chen Feng thinks that the woman has a good heart, so he decided to let her go."

One mentor complained, "This is great! She's doing charity work, and we're paying for it."

"That makes sense, but did she really just say she'd donate? What proof do you have?"

Chen Feng handed him his phone; the photos on it were the evidence. "What's this?"

Chen Feng said, "These are the poor people around here. Before yesterday, they couldn't even afford three meals a day and had no money to see a doctor or buy medicine. Now they have enough to eat and can see a doctor and buy medicine. I asked them, and they said that last night, a female knight-errant brought them some silver. I think this female knight-errant is the female thief who stole things."

“Even if you’re kind-hearted, you shouldn’t just let her go like that! She threw lime powder in your eyes, causing you excruciating pain and almost blinding you, have you forgotten?” one of the instructors said.

Chen Feng gave a wry smile. Why did everyone have to bring this up? Couldn't they stop rubbing salt into my wounds? I didn't want this either. One mentor asked, "Are you really just moved by their kindness? Did you have any other thoughts?"

Chen Feng nodded. "I admit it, but I really didn't mean anything by it."

One mentor waved his hand and said, "I don't care what you mean. Anyway, if you don't say, we won't know. I agree with this. It's better to lose ten temples than to break up one marriage. I support it."

The group went to the backyard, intending to release the little girl, but when they arrived, they found she was already gone. The window at the back was open; they must have gone out this way. The dean asked, "What did the note say?"

Chen Feng said, "She was just grateful that I helped her, and said she had something important to do, so she left first."

He had intended to let her go, but she left on her own. Chen Feng glanced at the two people at the door; their faces had changed color, and they were almost in tears. Chen Feng shook his head, thinking to himself, "This has nothing to do with me. It's your own fault for not keeping a close eye on things."

The dean didn't blame them and left with everyone. Chen Feng stayed behind because he felt something was wrong. He found a second person's footprints in the yard, indicating that someone had rescued her.

Chen Feng followed the footprints little by little, the footprints were very shallow.
