Chapter 240 Change of Attitude

Chapter 240 Change of Attitude

Qin Yu looked at the composed Mo Ze, completely unable to fathom his thoughts. He silently thought to himself, "People who don't show off are the hardest to deal with."

Everyone finished the meal with their own thoughts on it.

After dinner, Old Master Qin called Mo Ze to his study alone.

Qin's mother was initially worried and wanted to go with them, but Mo Ze persuaded her otherwise, saying, "Mom, it's alright, you wait for me in the living room."

Then I followed the old man upstairs.

In the study.

Old Master Qin sized up Mo Ze. Having lived to such an advanced age, he had to admit that the young man before him possessed extraordinary bearing and was indeed a talented individual. If this were truly his grandson, it would be wonderful if he could help manage and promote the Qin family business.

However, he would absolutely not allow it if the other party was an imposter or came to the Qin family with ulterior motives.

"Please sit down," Old Master Qin said to Mo Ze.

Mo Ze remained calm and composed, walking straight to the sofa in the study and sitting down without any ceremony.

His calm demeanor surprised Old Master Qin slightly.

"Ahem~ You should know what happens when you impersonate someone from the Qin family. I don't care what your current status is or how much you've accomplished. Now that you're on my turf, don't try to fool me. I'm not as brainless as my son and daughter-in-law." Old Master Qin was preparing to give Mo Ze a hard time, so he spoke sternly right away.

Most importantly, no matter how he looked at it, Mo Ze didn't seem to be a member of the Qin family. He did have a resemblance to Qin Heng in appearance, but he didn't see any trace of the Qin family's distinctive blue eyes in Mo Ze.

Therefore, the old man was very suspicious of Mo Ze's identity, especially since he seemed unwilling to do a paternity test, which deepened his suspicions about Mo Ze's identity.

He was afraid that his son and daughter-in-law had hired someone to impersonate him. In recent years, he had neglected his eldest son's family. After all, Qin Yiche was adopted, and the Qin Group's assets could not be left to an outsider with no blood relation. Therefore, he naturally paid more attention to his younger son Qin Yu's family and gradually handed over power to Qin Yu and Qin Yifeng.

Since Qin Heng and his wife won't have any more children, it's no wonder he favors his youngest son's family; after all, they are Qin's own flesh and blood.

Now that they've found the child who died more than 30 years ago, Old Master Qin thinks that Qin Heng might be eyeing the shares of the Qin family business and want to secure some of the assets for Qin Yiche. He had raised him for over 20 years, so he must have feelings for him and wouldn't be as rational as Qin Heng.

Mo Ze looked at the elderly man in front of him, whose hair was gray but who was still full of energy, but he felt no emotion. It was as if he was looking at a stranger.

Blood ties are perhaps mutual. When he first met Qin Heng and his wife, he felt a strange sense of kinship, but now, he felt none of that.

Mo Ze sat on the sofa, looked up, and parted his thin lips slightly, "A paternity test can be done anytime."

His calm and unhurried attitude made Old Master Qin take a second look at him.

"Since you're willing to cooperate, then the identification will naturally have to be done," Old Master Qin said to Mo Ze. "As for the Qin family's rules, the eldest grandson is entitled to 5% of the Qin Group's shares. If the report confirms that you are a child of the Qin family, I will naturally transfer those 5% of the shares to your name."

"Of course, you must change your surname to 'Qin', be included in the Qin family genealogy, and officially rejoin the Qin clan..."

Mo Ze, with a slight smile playing on his lips, watched as Old Master Qin, accustomed to being in charge, made decisions for him. He interrupted, "What if I don't go back to the Qin family?"

It's not a hypothetical; he never even considered returning to the Qin family.

He wouldn't even look at those shares!

Old Master Qin's face darkened. "Then even if you are a member of the Qin family, all the assets of the Qin Group will have nothing to do with you."

He thought that this would scare Mo Ze, but Mo Ze stood up after hearing it, smiled slightly, and then took out a folded document from his bag and handed it to the old man.

"This is the paternity test report. Of course, if you don't believe it, you can have it done again."

After speaking, he lowered his head slightly, removed his black contact lenses, revealing his original blue pupils, and looked at Old Master Qin.

Old Master Qin took the report, but before he could even open it, he froze on the spot.

He stared at Moze's blue pupils as if he were quite frightened, then walked out from behind the desk, stood in front of Moze, and carefully examined Moze's eyes.

Then he muttered to himself, "It's so similar, it's really so similar..."

Finally, his gaze fell on those blue pupils. "Too perfect..."

Even Old Master Qin himself didn't have pupils as blue as Mo Ze's!

Mo Ze's eyes are the most similar to those of the Qin family members; just looking at those eyes seems to be the strongest evidence.

"What's this?" Old Master Qin stared at Mo Ze for a long while before asking blankly.

He didn't understand why Moze's pupil color had suddenly changed.

"I was wearing black contact lenses before, otherwise it would have been too conspicuous," Mo Ze kindly explained.

Old Master Qin nodded knowingly, "It is too ostentatious."

Because of those blue eyes, Old Master Qin didn't even bother to look at the paternity test report Mo Ze gave him before directly acknowledging his identity.

"Since you are a child of the Qin family, there is no reason for you to be left out in the world. I will find someone to choose an auspicious day to formally welcome you back. The Qin family is currently managed by your uncle and son. You will start from the bottom and work your share." Old Master Qin said to Mo Ze.

Mo Ze smiled and looked up again. "Grandpa, I think I just said that I don't want to work for Qin's."

"Where are the descendants of the Qin family if they don't work for the Qin Corporation!" the old man said to Mo Ze, somewhat angrily.

Mo Ze was unaffected. "Grandpa thinks this way, but I'm afraid some people don't. Let's forget about joining Qin's Group. Just give me the shares."

He didn't really want the shares, but Qin Yiche had nothing, so this share should be given to him.

Mo Ze acted like an older brother, considering Qin Yiche's feelings.

In the end, the grandfather and grandson couldn't reach an agreement.

Mo Ze was unwilling to join the Qin family, but Old Master Qin insisted that he do so.

Finally, he got a little angry and told Moze to go back and think it over carefully.

When Mo Ze came out of the study, Qin's father, Qin's mother, and Qin Yiche immediately went to greet him.

"Brother, are you alright?" Qin Yiche asked with some concern.

Mr. and Mrs. Qin also looked at him with worried expressions.

Mo Ze smiled slightly, "It's alright, I'll head back now."

"You're leaving so soon..." Qin's mother said with some reluctance.

“Yes, we have more cooperation to discuss tomorrow,” Moze replied.

So Qin's mother felt it was inappropriate to keep him any longer.

Qin Yiche offered to see Mo Ze off.

The two brothers walked out of the Qin residence together.
