Invitation

Dear Coach/Manager:

You are cordially invited to participate in the 16th Annual Nashua Girls Soccer Association Memorial Weekend Tournament on May 24th, 25th, and 26th of 2008, hosted by the World Cup Soccer Club of Greater Nashua, New Hampshire. World Cup Soccer and NGSA merged operations in the previous year and will continue forward as World Cup Soccer of Greater Nashua.

Drawing over 125 teams from around New England, the NGSA Memorial Day Tournament is one of the largest Girls-Only tournaments in the North East. We are committed to excellence and hosting one of the highest quality events for players and their families. World Cup and the city of Nashua look forward to hosting over 1,800 players this Memorial Day weekend.

Competition categories include girls U-11 through U-19 with divisions within each age group. The Premier Division includes premier and highly competitive travel teams. The Classic Division includes competitive travel, city/town clubs and recreational teams. Teams in these age groups play 11v11 and are guaranteed 3 games. Advancing teams will participate in semis and finals to be held Monday, May 26th.

The Nashua Girls Soccer Association Memorial Weekend Tournament will again host a U-9, and U-10 6v6 Division for girls. Each 6v6 division will play a minimum of 4 games. We also will offer 8v8 Premier and Classic Divisions for U-11/12 girls teams.

Application, payment, and permission to travel forms must be received by April 18th, 2008. All applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list and advised accordingly. Acceptance confirmations will be emailed by the tournament registrar by May 6th, 2008. Any team that withdraws from the tournament after receiving their acceptance notice will forfeit the registration fee and not be asked to return the following year.

Tournament selection criteria include the applying team’s record and level of competition. Team selection is at the discretion of the tournament committee and submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

This tournament is sanctioned by the New Hampshire Soccer Association, a member of the United States Soccer Federation. A copy of our Permission to Host this tournament is posted online at www.nashuaworldcup.org which can be downloaded and copied for your records.

Sincerely,

Dan Wyborney
