Official 6V6 Rules
FIFA Laws will apply with the following exceptions and additions:
I MATCH PLAYING TIME
Matches will consist of two (2) twenty (20) running-minute halves. Matches may end in a tie.
II ROSTER SIZE
Only 14 players may play in any one game, and no player may play for more than one team within the same age group. Games will be played six (6) to a side with four (4) players needed to start and four (4) players needed to continue.
III OFFSIDE RULE
There will be no offside rule in effect.
IV FREE KICKS
All defensive players will be required to retreat five (5) yards from the point of any free kick by an opponent.
Goal kicks and goalkeeper punts and throws must be played or touch the ground in the defensive half of the field before crossing the midfield line. An infraction will result in an indirect free kick by the opposing team at the midfield line at the point where the ball crossed.
V SUBSTITUTIONS
With the consent of the referee, unlimited substitutions may be made:
A: prior to a throw-in by the team in possession, or
B: prior to a goal kick by either team, or
C: after an injury, or
D: at half time, or
E: after a goal is scored
All substitutes must enter and leave the field at the mid-field mark, and only after the referee signals to do so.
VI PENALTY KICKS
Penalty kicks will be taken from the center of the penalty area line (ten yards from the goal line). All players excluding the player taking the kick and the defending goalkeeper will remain behind the midfield line until the ball is in play.
VII GOAL KICKS
Goal kicks may be taken from anywhere within the penalty area.
VIII SUSPENDED AND TERMINATED GAMES
Matches suspended because of weather or serious injury will be official if at least one half of the match has been completed. Any game stopped and not restarted prior to that time will be recorded as a 0-0 tie. |
