Eight teams from Nashua World Cup recently participated in the NH State Cup Tournament. Four of the teams made it through the round robin and playoff stages of the tournament to advance to the State Cup Finals.
The U17 Boys Nashua World Cup Wolves, coached by Pat Mulcahy, defeated Seacoast United 1-0 in the State Finals to repeat as NH State Cup Champions. The finals were a hard fought battle between both teams that took over 3 hours because of lightning delays. The U17 boys advanced to represent NH at the Regional Championships in Huntington, WV.
The U12 Girls Nashua World Cup Fire, also coached by Pat Mulcahy, played an exciting State Cup Finals match versus Seacoast United that remained tied through regulation and two overtime periods. The game ended after 12 shooters from each team took kicks from the mark. The U12 girls lost, but still advanced as the wildcard winner to represent the state of NH at the Regional Championships in Huntington, WV.
The U15 Boys Nashua World Cup Hurricanes, coached by Paul Ostberg, also made it to the finals. The U15 boys also lost in the finals, but represented the state of NH very well in the Presidents Cup Sub-Regional held in Londonderry, NH.
The U19 Boys Nashua World Cup team, coached by Joel Ogbunimari also made it to the NH State Cup finals. Unfortunately our boys lost, but put a very strong fight.
Congratulations to the players, their coaches and parents.
